Blooms College of Education an affiliated college was established in the year 2003 which is located at Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, India. Admission Process Degree Wise
B.Ed (Bachelors in Education): There was a systematic admission process for B.Ed course in Blooms College of Education. Candidates were required to qualify in Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. Admissions are made purely on merit based on CET performance. After the CET, merit lists are prepared based on CET performance. Only candidates named in this list may avail themselves of admission to the college. The Counseling will happen after the CET; seats will be filled on the basis of merit and preference given by candidates. The B.Ed program has 100 seats for admissions.
D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): Unlike the B.Ed route, the D.El.Ed program admission procedure is for merit. Definitely, the merit list is based on scores from qualifying and/or entrance examinations. This admission standard is guided by state government or UT administration instructions. The CET for this course is conducted through the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala, followed by the counseling process. This D.El.Ed program also embraces an approved intake of 100 students, similar to the B.Ed program.
Both these programs are full-time courses and last for a duration of two years. Therefore, the college intends to significantly contribute towards making competent teachers and trainers for generations to come by focusing on those two programs.
