CAT Trivandrum, the CAT College of Architecture, Trivandrum was established in 2011, is committed to offering education in architecture and design. Affiliated to the University of Kerala and having its campus in Mulayara Post Trivandrum Kerala this college is recognized by the Council of Architecture and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). CAT Trivandrum has a campus area of 2.8 acres and is co-educational with a total enrolment of students of 628 and a faculty of 60 members. The institute provides two full-time degree programs: B.Arch and B.Des in Interior Design and Decoration a program for budding architects and designers.

CAT Trivandrum is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram. CAT Trivandrum has a panel of many amenities to facilitate the students’ academic performance as well as all round development. There are comfortable boys’ and girls’ hostels within the campus with the sitting capacity of 163 students 3 sharing and 4 sharing hostels with bath & common facilities are available. For academic purposes of the college, there is a college library and two computer laboratories each with thirty PCs, with server rooms and wireless internet throughout the college.  Students are very privileged since they can play sports at a personal gym within the campus and other sporting facilities. It also has halls for performances, meetings, seminars, workshops for practical sessions and other practice and departmental laboratories. A canteen provides food requirements of students and members of staff, a health centre with first aid facilities enable students and members of staff to get some form of medical checkup.

The institute offers two undergraduate programs: a five and a half years B. Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) program with 120 students intake, and a four year B. Des (Bachelor of Design) in Interior Design and Decoration for 60 students intake. Offline course offering of the mentioned programmes are on campus full time programme intended on academically preparing students to meet different challenges they may face within the course of their studied field.  Total seats for these two specialized courses put together come down to 180 The management at CAT Trivandrum dares to dream about the possibilities of shaping the architectural and interior designs of tomorrows’ world.
