Chanchal B.Ed. College, Malda, is a constituent college in Kanua, Isadpur, Chanchal, West Bengal. The college is NCTE-approved and deals in teacher education. Having a small campus area of 0.66 acres, the college runs two full-time courses: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
The admission policy of Chanchal B.Ed. College is in accordance with the policies laid down by the State Government, Union Territory Administration, and the concerned University. The college intake is 200 students, of which 100 seats are reserved for B.Ed. and 50 seats for D.El.Ed. programs. Admission is on merit basis on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying exam and/or entrance exam.

6. Counselling and Admission: Shortlisted candidates are summoned for counselling, during which they must authenticate their original documents. Seats are offered on the basis of merit and availability.
7. Fee Payment: Selected students must pay the course fee within the given timeframe to secure admission.
8. Orientation: Students admitted undergo an orientation program to get accustomed to the college infrastructure, faculty, and curriculum.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education):
The B.Ed. course at Chanchal B.Ed. College is a two-year full-time program with an approved intake of 100 seats. Admission to the B.Ed. course is merit-based, taking into account the marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The process of selection is as per the policy laid down by the State Government, Union Territory Administration, and the concerned University. The candidates should have passed their graduation or post-graduation in the relevant subjects to be eligible for the B.Ed. course.
D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education):
The D.El.Ed. course is also a two-year full-time course provided by Chanchal B.Ed. College with an approved intake of 50 seats. The admission to D.El.Ed. is merit-based, which is decided by the performance of the candidate in the qualifying examination or through any other selection process as per the policy of the state government. Candidates who are eligible usually should have completed their higher secondary education (10+2) from a recognized board.
