Questions related to Christian Medical College, Vellore
which college is better for mbbs course, for a south Indian ? madras medical college or Christian medical college vellore.
Both the colleges you have mentioned are extremely good with their level of medical undergraduate education and christian medical college well all is well-known to give hands-on experience with the most of the clinical techniques and also train student sequential in preclinical and paraclinical subjects
Madras medical college is also one of the premier medical colleges in the states and preferred by many students sensor is a government medical college and gives more patient exposed also Christian medical college Vellore also has a big turnover of patients throughout the year but being a private medical college only 15 out of 100 students who admitted in every batch at the MBBS level are general category students
the entrance is definitely tougher for Christian medical college Vellore and if you qualify in it I would advise you to try for it but talking practically it is much easier to secure a chance into Madras medical college via Neet
what about self finansing mbbs seat in vellore medical college
Tamil Nadu health department has accorded a special status to Christian Medical College Vellore in the MBBS admission process for the upcoming academic year
Besides marking the 100 MBBS seats in the college as a special category, the prospectus has said that “the allotment of MBBS seats at CMC
is according to the rules and regulation of CMC”. Counselling for all other self-financing colleges affiliated to the state medical university is done under single window counselling. The colleges surrender about 35-50% of the seats for admission under government quota and the students are admitted to the remaining seats under management quota. The state follows NEET-based rank list and applies 69% reservation. CMC has been exempted from the process this year.
HOPE THIS WILL BE HELPFUL.
I have scored 529 marks in neet 2020. Do I have a chance in general seats in CMC Vellore? Also, will I get a govt. or self financing mbbs seat in Kerala? ( domicile: kerala category : muslim unreserved)
As per last years cutoff to get seat in Vellore medical college general category candidate was needed 521 score in NEET so considering your score there are chances of yours to get Vellore medical college.
Secondly your score are good enough to get semi government medical college in Kerala through state level quota. To get government medical college in Kerala general category candidate must score atleast 550 and above in NEET.
Some of the self financing colleges which you can expect with your score in Kerala as per last years cutoff are:
1.Pariyaram medical college, Pariyaram
2.Amala Institute of medical science, Amalanagar
3.MES Academy of medical science, Malaparamba
4.Travancore medical college, Kollam
Hope you got your answer.
