Government College of Education, Ratnagiri Admission Process

The Government College of Education, Ratnagiri, located in the state of Maharashtra, India, is one of the oldest institutions for teacher education. The college admits prospective teachers from among eager applicants on the basis of admission procedures developed by the university-in-charge of the affiliate. The institution being NAAC-accredited and NCTE-approved has truly ensured that education of high standards is imparted to its students. Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed: The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program is the flag ship course offered by Government College of Education, Ratnagiri. It is a two-year full-time program with an approved intake of 50 students. The admission process for B.Ed is as follows:

  1. Eligibility: Candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
  2. Selection Criteria: Admission is based on merit, determined by the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination.
  3. Entrance Exam: The college may conduct its own entrance examination or consider scores from state-level entrance exams for teacher education programs.
  4. Counseling: Shortlisted candidates may be called for a counseling session to discuss their aptitude for teaching and career goals.
