Aurad Government Polytechnic was established in 2009 at Aurad in Karnataka and is an affiliated college. At present, this AICTE approved technical institution provides a number of diploma programmes in different fields of engineering. Currently, the institute has a registered number of 157 students and a faculty of 13 members, which makes the learning atmosphere controlled. Government Polytechnic, Aurad, extends seven diploma courses, all of which are regular duration and cover the Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Commericial Practice, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Automation and Robotics Engineering along with Alternate Energy Technologies.

As it is characterised, the institute is equipped with versatile facilities that can foster the educational experience of the student. There are neat laboratories for each department on the campus, which includes practical facilities. Library is effectively stocked to meet the multi-disciplinary information needs of students and members of the faculty.
