Aurad Government Polytechnic was established in 2009 at Aurad in Karnataka and is an affiliated college. At present, this AICTE approved technical institution provides a number of diploma programmes in different fields of engineering. Currently, the institute has a registered number of 157 students and a faculty of 13 members which make the learning atmosphere controlled. Government Polytechnic, Aurad extends six diploma courses all of which are regular duration and covers the Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Automation and Robotics Engineering along with Alternate Energy Technologies.

As it is characterised, the institute equipped with the versatile of facilities that can foster educational experience of the student. There are neat laboratories for each department in the campus includes practical facilities. Library is effectively stocked to meet multi-disciplinary information needs of students and members of the faculty. It also boasts an auditorium for occasions and other such collegiate like establishing a lively scholarly environment. In order to look after the students, the institute has a provision of health center with first aid facilities. The infrastructure and facilities of the campus include modern IT's to make the students aware of technological development. There are facilities in school for developing students’ physical activities and recreation. For instance, the college offers hostel facilities for both male and female students ensuring that those from other regions benefit most.

Government Polytechnic, Aurad has a total of six diploma courses they offer and none of them is part time, instead they are all three years full time courses such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering and computer science. The institute offers the following courses for which the total student intake is 157. Admission procedure of Government Polytechnic, Aurad is made very simple and easy to understand and follow.
