Government Polytechnic, Nirsa, started its journey in the year 1958 and is a technical college situated at Mauza-Gopalganj, Jharkhand. This affiliated college, recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), closely provides quality education and training in engineering disciplines. Stretching over 8.3 acres, the institute has 594 students’ intake in total and 5 professional faculty members. Currently, Government Polytechnic, Nirsa, offers three directly affiliated diploma programmes, each of three years’ duration, as under: mining engineering, civil engineering, and mechanical engineering.

A number of facilities at the institute have been established with the intention of supporting a a resin learning environment and the the development of students. Part of the amenities available and accessible within the campus includes bookshops, banks, post offices, hostels and other amenities. The campus has different hostels for boys and girls. According to my sense the college infrastructure is good . The building is new and all types of facilities and equipments are there but not in well condition too much . Hostel is not too much good but you can say well.

The overall infrastructure is good, because the college building is new. But there is no facility of garden. In rainy day water fall from the rooftop of the college. The library are opened, but there is no book.

This college has all the types of facilities, equipments but working or not students don't know because these are not used ever by students properly. Have laboratories but never used. Overall the infrastructure is good because of all equipments available.
