Grameena Vidyavardka College of Education, Nidagundi, is a co-educational institution of teacher education. Situated in Vijayapura, Karnataka, the college itself is recognized by NCTE and offers two basic programs: B.Ed and D.Ed. The admission process at Grameena Vidyavardka College of Education is set for the selection of qualified candidates aspiring to become teachers.

The selection process follows the rules and regulations framed by the state government and the affiliated university. The college has 100 seats sanctioned for the B.Ed Course.

D.Ed (Diploma in Education):
The D.Ed program, also by the college, is similarly for two academic years. The same criteria exist for admission into D.Ed, with selection being primarily based on the merit of the applicant based on the marks from the qualifying examination and/or an entrance examination. Therefore the admission policy of the college is bound under the state and UT Administration policy. The college has 50 seats sanctioned for the D.Ed program.
