About Hindu College of Design, Architecture and Planning, Sonepat

Hindu College of Design, Architecture and Planning, Sonepat was established in the year 2011 and is a co-ed institution. Located in Industrial Area, Sonepat, Haryana, it is an affiliated college with the approval of the Council of Architecture and imparts a blend of design and architectural education. The campus area is compact, only 4 acres, with 228 students currently enrolled in different courses and a faculty strength of 12. Among the three full-time degree programs are those focused on architecture, urban planning, and interior design for aspirant professionals in these creative fields.

The college has several facilities to support the learning process of its students. Separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls is available on campus, so it is comfortable to live here with all amenities available at walking distance. A rich library, the hub of knowledge, shelves more than 300 titles of books and subscribes to more than 5 journals, hence influencing the habit among students to be research-oriented. A well-equipped model-making workshop is available to the students to bring their designs into life for hands-on learning. It has a well-established IT infrastructure to support all technological needs of the students enrolled in various modern courses of architecture education. Students are further provided with facilities for sports, a cafeteria, an auditorium for events and seminars, and a health centre with first-aid facilities in this context. A gym and a training and placement cell are also available for the all-round development of students.
