Jahan Institute of Nursing Sciences was established in the year 2019, is one of the emerging institute in providing nursing education in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This affiliated college is also situated in the new Electronic City area, which has established itself as a premier nursing college in a very short span. Recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), the institute is dedicated to provide nursing sciences with a concentrated course. Situated on a small area of 1 acre, this institute for now accommodates 11 learners with close-knit and tight-knit ratio of 1:1 with the educators where there are 10 employees who teach in the institute. Currently, the institute provides two course specialities for nursing, to meet the demand for qualified health care workers in the area.

About Facility: The Jahan Institute of Nursing Sciences is proud of possessing a variety of techniques and opportunities for student development. The college has a well equipped large library having a separate new computerised secrete with internet browsing and different CDs/VCDs/DVDs etc. This means students get to have access to a number of resources outside the normal text books is ensuring they get more information. Based on this focus, the institute has specialised laboratories such as The Nursing Foundation Lab, The Medical-Surgical lab where student’s clinical skills are developed. Classroom education facilities that are comfortable, adequately fitted accommodating up to 60 students each are the best suited to meet theoretical learning. Although it is a product of the IT sector, the institute also endeavours to provide a world class separate hostels for male and female students who are away from their homes. Other facilities that are also available include;sports and recreation facilities, an auditorium for conducts of events and seminars, health centre complete with a First Aid section and transport facilities. The college’s IT backbone caters for today’s learning style so as to prepare for the future of students to embrace the digital world of health care system.

From a programme perspective, the Jahan Institute of Nursing Sciences now offers two full nursing programmes only. The institute conducts a GNM course that is a 3½ year programme and a B.Sc Nursing course which includes the complete and extensive knowledge and skills of a nurse. The capacity of the GNM programme is 40 and the capacity for B Sc Nursing programme is yet to be defined. They are designed to give students both an understanding and firsthand experience on what a nursing professional environment is like.
