JK College of Education, Jammu Admission Process

Possessing teaching potential and providing education of quality, JK College of Education, Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, is recognized as an institution of repute in teacher training. Total student intake is at 83, with 13 members in faculty that give an intimate and focused atmosphere for budding teachers. The admission process of the JK College of Education aims at giving an eligibility test for admission to its teacher training programs. The college adopts the general rules and regulations as set by the State Government, the administration of the Union Territory concerned, and the University concerning its affiliation. 

Normally, students are admitted on a merit basis, depending on the marks obtained in the qualifying and/or entrance examination. Regarding the prescription for the eligibility for admission, JK College of Education will detail all the academic qualifications as prescribed by both itself and its affiliated university. Student candidates should have qualified for the required qualifying examination with minimum marks as required. 9. Final Admission: After undergoing all the formal processes, the candidate is confirmed as having joined the B.Ed program with JK College of Education.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education): This is the major program offered at JK College of Education, Jammu. The course takes two years of full-time study to produce effective teachers. The admission procedure into the B.Ed program includes:

  1. Eligibility: No student should be less than a graduate or have any equivalent degree from a recognized university.
  2. Selection Criteria: Admission will be decided according to the merit based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination.
  3. Entrance Exam: Admission may be subject to the scores of relevant entrance exams, although there is no information about such specific exams being given.
