Specialisation and Project-Based Learning
In your second and third years, you transition from foundational skills to advanced interior design, styling, and technical mastery. This phase is all about specialised learning, project-based studios, and hands-on industry experience that prepares you for a professional design career. Explore Diverse Design Domains and Work on real-world projects across multiple sectors:
1. Residential Spaces
Design homes that blend functionality with aesthetics, reflecting personality and lifestyle
2. Retail Spaces
Create brand-driven stores, showrooms, and experiential spaces that attract and engage customers
3. Hospitality Design
Craft hotels, resorts, and restaurants that focus on ambience, user experience, and memorable interactions
4. Institutional & Commercial Spaces
Transform offices, co-working environments, educational institutions, hospitals, and corporate interiors
5. Exhibition Design
Develop temporary spaces that combine storytelling, display, and spatial innovation
6. Hands-On Learning & Applied Skills
❖ Gain practical experience in design strategy, materials, detailing, services, and styling
❖ Undertake a 6–8-week short-term internship with an exhibition design company after Year 2
❖ Work on studio projects that simulate real industry challenges and client requirements
❖ Build a professional portfolio that showcases creativity, technical expertise, and versatility
❖ Global Exposure & Inspiration
❖ Participate in international design trips to experience the latest trends and innovations:
• Dubai – Index Interior Design & Furniture Exhibition
• Milan – Salone del Mobile
• Shanghai – China International Furniture Fair (CIFF Shanghai)
❖ Explore India’s heritage architecture, luxury resorts, and experiential spaces, gaining insight into local and global design philosophies
7. Technical & Digital Mastery
❖ Learn orthography, ergonomics, building services, materials, and construction processes.
❖ Master digital drafting, 2D and 3D representation, and rendering tools, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and advanced visualisation software.
❖ Translate creative ideas into professional, presentation-ready designs.
8. By the end of Year Three, you’ll have:

9. Fourth Year: 12 Months of Industry Immersion
From a 2-month early exposure to a 9-month deep industry immersion, internships power your design journey.
