Khalsa college of education, Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar was set in the year 2005 with the objective to provide torch bearer in the field of education. This co-educational college is situated in Amritsar district of Punjab state and offers number of teacher education programmes. Approval from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and accreditation by the NAAC makes the college an affiliated college dedicated to learnerients and excellence in teacher education. Situated over an area of 770050 sq. ft, with a built up area of 300000 sq. ft, it covers a total intake of 475 students divided between 11 different faculties and comprises of 33 teachers. It presents 6 professional degree programmes to focus on various elements of education process and IT devices.

Khalsa college of education has well equipped facilities that were developed to promote learning among students in the institution. There is a modern-library where students study from over 6,500 books ranging from textbooks, encyclopedias, research journals and monographs etc. Dinning facilities, Town Street store and various sports and modern gymnasium facility show the college’s concern for physical health. The institution offers six unique programmes, namely B.Ed., M. Ed., PGDCA, BA. B. Ed Integrated, B.Sc. B. Ed Integrated and B. Ed. M. Ed. Integrated. The college has 550 student’s intake on average approved across all of its programme in which the college aims at providing quality education by recruiting limited number of students in a class.
