Khamargachi B.Ed. College, is a reputed teacher training institution located in the Hooghly district of West Bengal. The college conducts two full-time courses, namely B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), India, is the granting authority of the college, which admits students on merit depending on the marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) programme is a two-year full-time programme at Khamargachi B.Ed. College with an intake of 100 students. Khamargachi B.Ed. College, Hooghly admissions to this programme are on the basis of merit considering the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. Selection criteria might also include some other criteria as specified by the university concerned. The B.Ed. candidates need to have completed their Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant subject with a percentage of marks required.
D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) is two-year full-time course with an intake capacity of 50 students. Khamargachi B.Ed. College, Hooghly admissions into the programme are based on consideration of merit, considering marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10+2) and/or in the entrance exam. The selection is conducted according to the provisions of the rules laid down by either the State Government or the UT administration. To be eligible for this programme, candidates need to have passed the Higher Secondary examination from a recognised board.
