The college has very simple admission systems and, hence, prospective students find them convenient to handle. Normally, the admissions in Maharaja Ranjit Singh Khalsa Technical College are opened for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses annually. The college offers five full-time courses for four degree programs in all, including three undergraduate programs and two in the postgraduate axis. The eligibility clauses for the concerned programs may vary. For the undergraduate programs, i.e., BCA/BBA/B.Com.(Hons.), students could apply once they have completed their 10+2 with any recognized board. For the postgraduate programs, namely, M.Sc. Application Process

Admission Process According to Degree
BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): The BCA program at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Khalsa Technical College has an intake of 60 seats. Admission to this program is based on the merit of the qualifying examination (10+2). Students would generally be preferred who come from a background of Mathematics or Computer Science, but there may be other subject requirements that should be confirmed with the college.
BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration): The BBA program has 60 seats. Admission to this program would be by merit (meaning from marks obtained in the 10+2 examination) subject to that any student from any stream (Science, Commerce or Arts) could apply for this program unless mentioned by college with stream preference.
B.Com (Hons): The B.Com (Hons) program has an intake of 30 seats. The main criterion of merit shall be 10+2 examination with a preference for students from the Commerce stream. Students from other streams are likely to be considered if they satisfy the criteria laid down by the college.
M.Sc. Information Technology: This college has 30 seats for this postgraduate program. The basis of admission is expected to be merit based on the qualifying examination with preference to those having relevant undergraduate degrees, i.e., Computer Science, IT or BCA.
M.Sc. Computer Science: Another 30-seater intake for Computer Science is also subject to similar conditions for admission as M.Sc. Information Technology, whereby preference may be given to Computer Science or related graduates.
