Hii Vicky!
Opting for NIFT is not the only way you can become a designer. Infact many of the famous designers of today's times did not have a formal degree in design. It totally depends on your dedication and sincerity. The benefit of studying in NIFT is that you are surrounded by people of the same career oriented minds and you learn a lot of new things plus you are preferred in placements. Other than NIFT B. Des you can go for NID, CEED etc., Entrance examination and become a designer.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!

Hello Ankita,

I am really sorry to disappoint you but 70 out of 150 will not be enough for getting a seat in NIFT.It is the dream institute for every student who appear in NIFT entrance to get admission in one of the NIFTs.
So, it obvious that the competition is really high.
The minimum marks required to get into nift is atleast 120. Moreover it is not about marks but it is about rank and your rank must be under 600 for getting a seat in NIFT.

I hope i cleared your doubts.

Hello,

Aligarh Muslim University dies offer course in fashion designing but NIFT is brand and it is far better than AMU or any other fashion designing college.NIFT is considered as IITs of Fashion designing so there is no comparison between them.

I hope this helps.

Hello

There is no compulsion in any competitive exam that admit card must be printed in colour (unless it has been specified) .So its totally okay if you have a black and white print out.But if its possible to get a coloured one then that would be better.
But do not forget to carry the hard copy of the admit card along with a valid ID proof to the exam centre.

I hope this helps.

Great college.

College Infrastructure

NIFT Delhi boasts a modern and well-equipped campus that provides a conducive environment for creativity and learning. The infrastructure is designed to meet the needs of aspiring fashion professionals, with state-of-the-art facilities that cater to every aspect of design education. The campus houses spacious classrooms, design studios, and well-stocked libraries. The design studios, in particular, are equipped with the latest technology, sewing machines, and pattern-making tools, which are essential for hands-on learning. The fabric library is extensive, giving students access to a wide variety of materials to experiment with. The campus also features well-maintained hostels, canteens, and recreational areas, ensuring that students can maintain a balance between academic and personal life. The campus is located in the heart of Delhi, which further adds to its appeal, offering students easy access to major fashion events, exhibitions, and industry hubs. The campus's aesthetics are modern and professional, fostering an atmosphere that promotes creativity and innovation. However, with its heavy focus on practical work, there could be an increased emphasis on upgrading and expanding certain areas, especially as the institution continues to grow. Overall, the infrastructure at NIFT Delhi supports the learning needs of students and helps them prepare for the competitive world of fashion.
