NIFT Delhi Admission 2026: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Cutoff & Application Form

The National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi offers admission to a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in stream of animation and design. For NIFT Delhi UG admission, the selection process comprises a written examination consisting of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT), followed by a situation test to be undertaken by shortlisted candidates of the written examination.

• NIFT Delhi Admissions 2026 are entrance-based, followed by the selection criteria applicable for the course. 
• For admission to NIFT Delhi, the shortlisted candidates are required to appear for Situation Test, Studio Test, Personal Interview and document verification.
• NIFT 2026 result has been released on June 3, 2026. 
• The application fee for NIFT Delhi in 2026 is Rs 2,000 for Open / Open-EWS/OBC(NCL) category and Rs 500 for SC / ST / PwD category candidates. 

NIFT Delhi’s admission to the courses is facilitated through the NIFT Entrance Exam.  For M.Des admission in NIFT Delhi, candidates have to take CAT and GAT, whereas for MFM and Master of Fashion Technology candidates have to take GAT only.

NTA has released NIFT results on June 3, 2026. Candidates can download the NTA NIFT 2026 final results through their login on the official website. NIFT 2026 results are declared based on performance in the NIFT entrance exam and interview/situation test as per the applicable weightage for different programmes. 

The NIFT Delhi Seat Matrix 2026 has been made public by the authorities. There are 376 seats available for ordinary candidates at the National Institute of Fashion Technology Bhopal.  There are 38 and 34 seats available for different specialisations at the National Institute of Fashion Technology. The college offers admission to B.Des. with various specialisations, as well as B.FTech at the undergraduate level. Both courses have a duration of 4 years. Candidates interested in either the B.Des. or B.FTech programs must ensure they meet the respective eligibility criteria for their chosen course of study.

NIFT Delhi UG Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates have to appear for the national level design entrance test conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology- NIFT Entrance Exam.
• The entrance exam comprises three rounds - Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT) and Situation Test.
• Candidates qualifying CAT and GAT have to further appear for the Situation Test.
• Next candidates have to meet the NIFT Delhi cutoff. 
• Candidates meeting the NIFT Delhi cutoff have to register for NIFT counselling and candidates will be allotted seats at NIFT Delhi as per the rank secured in the entrance exam and seat availability.
• Subsequent to the seal allocation, candidates have to pay the NIFT Delhi course fee.

NIFT Delhi B.F.Tech Admission Process

• Aspirants have to appear for the NIFT entrance exam consisting of the  General Ability Test (GAT).
• The GMAT exam is accepted for NRI students
• Next, candidates have to meet the requisite cut-off.
• Once the cutoff is met, candidates have to register for NIFT counselling and participate in it and seats will be allotted accordingly.
• Document verification and payment of NIFT Delhi fees is the last stage of the admission process.

The college offers admission to MFM, M.Design, and MFT courses at the postgraduate level. These programmes have a duration of 2 years. Candidates interested in pursuing any of these PG courses must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria specified for each programme.

NIFT Delhi PG Admission Process

• Candidates have to apply and appear for NIFT PG entrance examination.
• For M.Des candidates have to take CAT and GAT whereas for MFM and Master of Fashion Technology candidates have to take GAT only.
• The institute accepts the GMAT exam for NRI students. 
• Candidates qualifying the above-mentioned exams have to further qualify case study based GD and PI.
• Qualifying candidates have to register and participate in the NIFT counselling.
• Once a seat has been allotted at NIFT Delhi, candidates have to complete the NIFT Delhi admission process by paying the fees and getting the documents verified.
