Nimapara Autonomous College, Puri, also abbreviated as NAC is an education hub that was started in 1963. Serving nearly six decades, this affiliated college is situated in the historic city of Puri, Odisha. Located on a huge land area of 16.48 acres, the college has however to received accreditation from the NAAC for its capacity to produce quality education. NAC provides choice of 15 courses spread across 7 degree programmes to its students enrolled are 2905 with 75 faculty members. NAC, which stands for Nimapara Autonomous College, is one of the oldest institutions for the Higher Education, It imparts undergraduate and postgraduate courses into liberal arts, sciences, and commerce, with an array of courses. Admission to this college being purely on a merit basis is designed to include the maximum number of students from diverse backgrounds. NAC offers 15 full-time courses in the streams of humanities, sciences, and commerce, giving students a plethora of educational options.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.A. Programs: NAC offers B.A. Honours programs in Economics, Education, English, History, Odia, Political Science, Psychology, and Sanskrit. Admission to these programs is based on the marks obtained in the 10+2 examination, with a focus on relevant subjects for each discipline.
B.Com. Honours: NAC provides a B.Com. Honours program for commerce students. Admission is granted on the basis of the candidate's performance in the 10+2 examination, especially those who have studied commerce or related subjects.
B.Sc. Programs: NAC offers Honours B.Sc. programs in Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Admission to these programs requires 10+2 science background and marks will also be considered in science subjects.
B.Sc. Industrial Fish and Fisheries (Self-finance): This is a specialized program with special admission criteria. Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination with a science stream or an equivalent qualification.
M.Com, M.A. Odia, and M.Sc. Geology: For post-graduate programs, the candidates should have obtained their respective Bachelor's degrees in relevant disciplines. Admissions are based on the marks secured in the Bachelor's degree with further selection criteria as may be imposed by the college.

The college is not there told or not that new as well . The new department of buildings are quite modern and have all the basic facilities available there but the old buildings lack the modern facilities. There are smart boards in each class but Wi-Fi is not there.
College infrastructure is not that good because it's not an independent University. The fonts the colours received from the state government is quite less as compared to state Universities. The laboratory conditions are very bad and not even safe as well.
