QIS College of Education, Ongole Admission Process

QIS College of Education. Since NCTE has granted recognition to the institution, it welcomes aspiring teachers with confidence in the serene environment created by the institution, which also helps to prepare good professional teachers. The institution mainly offers full-time bachelor degrees in education (B.Ed.) meant to train students to develop essential skills in teaching. For admission to the two-year B.Ed. program, students should have to qualify for the B.Ed. 

Common Entrance Test (EDCET) administered by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), Government of Andhra Pradesh. This Common Entrance Test is held once in a year, and the candidates wishing to take an admission must apply in that particular session only. Accordingly, the QIS College of Education admission process is strictly on the merit basis depending upon the performance in the entrance examination. Admission Process

There are some steps involved in the application process for admission at QIS College of Education, Ongole:

1. EDCET Registration:

  • A candidate has to register for the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (EDCET) conducted by APSCHE.
  • The online application for EDCET can be filled at the APSCHE official website.
  • The fee along with the application form has to be produced.   

2. Enter examination:

  • Appear well in time on the scheduled date and allocated center for which candidates participated in the EDCET.
  • The syllabus available for this exam generally includes teaching aptitude, general knowledge, and subject knowledge.

3. Result Declaration:

  • Usually, APSCHE will declare the EDCET results and make them available on their website. 
  • From then onwards, candidates would be able to check their scores and rank online.

4. Counseling Process: Candidates who generally qualify with a particular rank in EDCET are called for counseling. In counseling, candidates have options to take preferred colleges and courses. If they are allotted seats in QIS College of Education, they must complete the admission process.

5. Admission at QIS College of Education: All candidates report to QIS College of Education with all original documents for verification.

The documents should typically be as follows:

  • EDCET rank card and allotment letter
  • Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent
  • 10+2 or Intermediate certificate
  • Degree card and marks memos
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Income certificate (if applicable)
  • Working out the stipulated admission fees.
  • Completing any other formalities required by the college. 

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education): The flagship B.Ed. program of QIS College of Education prepares and imparts education to an intake of 100 students. The admission procedure is as follows:

The candidate must qualify for the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (EDCET) conducted by APSCHE.

  1. The entrance examination assesses the candidate's aptitude toward the teaching profession as well as knowledge of subjects.
  2. Preparation of merit list based on the scores obtained in the EDCET.
  3. Admission on merit rank with applicable reservation policies. 

Generally speaking, eligibility requirements for the B.Ed. would include:

  1. Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
  2. Minimum percentage of marks as prescribed by APSCHE for the corresponding academic year.
  3. Qualification in the EDCET examination.
