Good and satisfied with it
Join this college it is good for engineering
Our college is actually pretty well set up with all the basic facilities we need, though there are a few things that could definitely be improved. Most of our classrooms have blackboards and a few even have smart boards—but honestly, these don’t get used much by the teachers. The library is awesome, though; it’s packed with books, journals, and digital resources, and there are computers for research, so it’s a good spot to get serious about studying. For science students, the labs are well-equipped and kept clean, and we have sports facilities for badminton, basketball, and cricket, which is nice for a break from classes. The hostels are decent too, with basic furniture, and the rooms are kept fairly clean. The food quality is hit or miss, but at least it’s hygienic, and we get Wi-Fi in the common areas. The infrastructure inside is pretty nice and well-maintained, but the college could use a bit of a facelift on the outside to match the good stuff inside. And, seriously, we could use ACs in the classrooms for those brutal Delhi summers. All in all, it’s a solid setup that works well, but there’s always room for a few upgrades to make it even better!
I’m studying History Honours because I love learning about the past and how it shapes our present. It’s really interesting to dive into ancient cultures, medieval history, and India’s freedom movement—especially since I’m into Hindu texts and old scriptures. So, this field feels like a perfect fit for me. As for the quality of teaching, our professors are definitely knowledgeable and passionate, but I feel like they don’t always get that we’ve just come straight from school, and the college pace is a whole new level. They teach really fast, and it can be hard to keep up, especially since we’re still figuring out college life. Sometimes, it’s tough to even know what material we’re supposed to focus on because everything moves so quickly, and there’s not much guidance on what’s most important. The curriculum itself is pretty good and covers a lot of the major historical events, but it feels a bit old-school. It would be nice if it included more recent research or modern views on history. As for job readiness, history gives us solid skills like critical thinking and research, but we’ll still need to figure out how to apply them. So it’s not directly job-prep, but it’s a good base if you know how to work with it.
Placements at my college are decent, but it kind of depends on the course you’re in. Since I’m in History Honours, placements aren’t as direct compared to courses like Economics or Commerce, where students seem to have more options. From what I’ve seen, a good percentage of students from those streams do get placed, especially those with high academic scores and extracurriculars. For us humanities students, though, the focus is more on building a solid academic foundation, with some placements in research or teaching. The highest salary packages generally go to students in tech or finance-related courses, but I think the average salary is pretty balanced and reasonable for most fields. The college does have a placement cell that’s helpful and supportive, and they organize workshops and resume-building sessions to prep us. I haven’t been through the placement process myself yet, but from what I hear, it’s relatively smooth, and the college is there to guide students. However, for fields like history, we’d benefit from more connections with institutions or roles directly related to our studies. So, while the placement support is good, it could be more tailored for different streams to better suit each student’s goals.
My college campus has nice green spaces and a good library, but the infrastructure, especially the classrooms, needs improvement. There are many activities, like clubs and sports, and most students are friendly. Professors know their subjects but can forget we’re adjusting from school. The campus is located in a busy area, making it convenient for shopping and transport, and it feels relatively safe. However, I don't have much idea about the emergency response plans in place. Overall, it’s a decent campus, but some updates would enhance the experience.

I don't think our college infrastructure is that good ...we don't have much facilities and equipment provided , we don't have hostel facilities for students coming from different states of India we don't have proper benches in our classroom..the living spaces is clean that's the good point of our college and I also think the food is affordable and hygiene for students
Till now the teachers I met in college are good..they are helpful and good at guiding students. Not much classes are cancelled however I don't think that this study is making me job ready ..I think what I am studying is just theoretical knowledge
The quality of placement in our college is so poor ..I don't think even one percent of student gets placed in our college. No reputed companies come to our college for the interview or even for the internship program
Our campus life is like 50-50 I this the best thing about our college is the teaching facility English and worst is it's location I don't think it's safe for the girls students who live in adchini because the only roads wich leads to adchini is not safe
Overall I'll rate may college average it has its both good and bad qualities
Overall the Campus is good with two Grounds and three Buildings. Decent Classrooms. The Canteen is great with great Hygiene and Food. The library and the labs are in great condition having air Conditioning Facilities. Easy transportation nearby.
The College have great faculty members with understanding Teachers who help when needed. Faculty also focuses on instilling discipline consistent learning and strong values in students. Some Subject are easily understandable while others are not as easy it depends on the Teachers
The College have placement cell society which takes care of the placement and internship and are pretty active throughout the year . They provide great offers to the students . There is also a placement cell society in the college that enhances the students knowledge .
Its Good with plenty of great people surrounding throughout the college . There are also so many famous spots nearby which is a great deal too . There is easy transportation and good infrastructure . Therefore the overall campus life is good .
Average college infrastructure often focus on outdated facilities, poorly maintained buildings, and inadequate resources. Students frequently report dissatisfaction with limited classroom space, aging furniture, and unreliable internet connectivity, which can hinder their learning experience. Libraries might lack updated resources, with insufficient books, journals, and online databases. Inadequate laboratory equipment, outdated technology, and limited access to modern tools in science and engineering departments are also common concerns, impacting hands-on learning opportunities. Campus amenities, such as cafeterias, recreational facilities, and study areas, might be scarce or poorly managed. Issues like unhygienic washrooms, lack of air conditioning, and insufficient seating in common areas further diminish the college experience. Safety concerns may arise from poor lighting and security measures around the campus, creating a sense of vulnerability among students. Transportation and accessibility issues, including limited parking and unreliable public transportation options, can add further stress for students. Moreover, a lack of investment in infrastructure improvements suggests that college administration might prioritize other areas over student comfort and educational support. Ultimately, substandard infrastructure impacts not only students' daily lives but also their academic performance and overall satisfaction with their college experience.
A college with a tough academic reputation can be both a rewarding and challenging experience for students. Courses at such institutions are often rigorous, demanding a high level of commitment, discipline, and intellectual engagement. Students frequently report that the workload is intense, with frequent assignments, exams, and projects that require consistent effort and time management skills. The grading standards tend to be strict, with professors expecting deep comprehension and critical analysis rather than simple memorization. While these rigorous academic standards can foster a strong work ethic and resilience, some students may find the pressure overwhelming. The competitive environment can lead to stress and burnout, especially when students struggle to balance academics with extracurriculars or personal obligations. Office hours and faculty support are essential, but some students feel that professors may not always be available or approachable, which adds to their challenges. Despite the demanding curriculum, many students acknowledge the value of the education they receive, noting that it prepares them well for future careers or graduate studies. However, the high academic expectations may not be suitable for everyone, and prospective students should consider whether they thrive in high-pressure environments before committing to such a college.
Colleges with decent placement records offer students solid, if not exceptional, opportunities for employment post-graduation. While not every student lands a top-tier position, most graduates find jobs that match their qualifications and provide a reasonable starting point in their chosen fields. Placement cells at these institutions typically have connections with a variety of companies, from mid-sized firms to a few reputable industry players, which ensures a steady stream of job options across different sectors. Companies visiting these campuses often hire for entry-level roles with average salary packages that are competitive but may not be industry-leading. Internship opportunities are usually available and provide valuable experience, but the college may not always have as many high-profile internship partners as top-tier institutions do. Support for skill development and interview preparation is generally available, though it might vary by department. For students with realistic expectations, a college with decent placements can be a good option, especially if they plan to gain experience and later pursue higher studies or explore other career pathways. The placements might not guarantee top positions, but with the right effort, students can secure roles that allow them to grow professionally and build their careers progressively.

Im studying electrical engineering here since that's all I got and I have somewhat of a decent interest in circuits. The quality of teaching is fine although the students have to depend a lot on their self study.
The quality of placements in the CS, IT sector has been booming rapidly while the core branches have been going steady. Avg package for electrical is 9lpa. And the highest salary goes to the CSAI branch

The islamia college of science and commerce in kashmir offers a solid academic foundation, providing quality education with a variety of programmes that cater to diverse student interests. It offers a strong foundation.
The placement services at my college suggest limited job opportunities and career support for students. Overall range of placements appears limited, particularly in terms of toles directly aligned with students field.
The college infrastructure is well-regarded, offering a comfortable environment jad supportive environment for various activities. A few enhancements could evaluate the experience even further in my opinion.
The academic environment at my college offers a strong foundation, combining knowledgeable faculty with a curriculum that aligns well with industry standards. Although I must say it needs further improvements.
Placement opportunities fall short of expectations at my college. Their are limited options for students to secure positions aligned with their fields to study, while some support may be available. For now we relay on external sources.
really good has great amenities on campus but the area is not good people are really rude teachers are rude. Has lifts and playground and various canteens as well, food is good, they do organize various activities and programs. Has good societies you can join.
The academics is poor, they treat a graduation student as a schooler and not a college going. While in graduation they expect you to write a thesis and dissertations which are a masters or a phd things.
The most random companies come to amity, the least they will offer is 15k and the college wont allow you to go work gain experience. There 75% attendance is more important than that. The department will absolutely not help you in the placements at all plus the companies never hire.

islamia college of science and commerce in sgr is known for its academic excellence and vibrant campus Life in a beautiful of kashmir. The college established in 1961 has developed into a prominent institution.
the faculty members are well knowledgeable and respect eachother's as well as each students opinion and try to resolve any inconveniences faced by the college students or their junior staff . They are very honest with their jobs.
islamia College of science and commerce has been gradually building its reputation in the area of student placements, especially for commerce and management students. Students have faith in them regarding placements.
Well let’s talk about the infrastructure first, The infrastructure is good and is expanding. The classrooms are equipped with basic amenities and the labs are equipped with smart boards and is air conditioned. The campus is well enough where you can rest in you recess time.
In academics, the college is somewhat better than the most colleges in Kashmir. The teachers have knowledge about what they are doing. Having the autonomous status is the best advantage as all the matters are handled by the college administration themselves and you don’t have to wander here and there if there is any issue. Also the college has NAAC accredited A grade.
As far as during my time there were no placements there and I still have no idea about any placements happening there. The college doesn’t have any placement cell which can bring companies for the placements.
