The School of Legal Studies is one of the constituent college of RIMT University, Gobindgarh, A leading North Indian University which aims at offering legal education. It also has a good alumni, relations department good enough to pull relationships between the existing students and those already in the legal practice. For the students who commute from other areas around the university transport provision is well enhanced for students.
The School of Legal Studies lists seven legal courses for study across six different levels of degree. The undergraduate programmes include the standardised three years programme of LLB and integrated five years programmes of BA LLB, BBA LLB, and B.Com LLB. All of these programmes have been blessed with an approved admission capacity of 60 students for every course year, something that the school has vowed to uphold in order to contain class sizes and encourage quality learning. The LLM programme is provided for the learners who would wish to further their knowledge in law. Also, for learner-focused education and research activities, full-time and part-time Ph.D. programmes in Law are open with a cohort of 8 students for each programme to promote complex legal study.

Degree wise Admission Process
LLB (Bachelor of Laws): It is a three-year undergraduate program with an intake of 60 students. Admission is on the merit basis as per the 10+2 examination of the candidate. Total fees for the program will be Rs. 360,000.
BA LLB, BBA LLB, B.Com LLB: They are five-year integrated programs with an intake of 60 students each. They suppose to consider the candidate's 10+2 marks and possibly an interview for admission. Total fees for each one of them are Rs. 540,000.
LLM: It is generally accepted that a candidate will hold a bachelor degree in law. The basis of selection may include individual performances, whether Law graduate studies with further consideration given to an entrance test or an interview
Ph.D. Law (Full-time and Part-time): In the case of a structured process for admission, candidates are subjected to an entrance examination on general knowledge, aptitude, reasoning, and discipline-specific knowledge in law. The entrance test covers questions on general knowledge, aptitude, reasoning, and the concerned subject/discipline in which admission is sought. A total of 8 students are admitted in both full-time and part-time Ph.D. programs that ensure focused research with individual attention.
