RIMT University, Gobindgarh, offers various legal education programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. The institute is a constituent of RIMT University and is recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI); hence much care is taken in imparting quality education in the field of law. The admission process at the School of Legal Studies aims to admit deserving candidates who have the potential for brilliance in legal studies

The institute adopts a holistic approach to admissions by taking into account various merit factors of the candidates. There is no specific mention of entrance examinations for undergraduate and postgraduate programs; however, we assume that academic background and some enter-evaluation criteria may cater to the admission process. Students who have completed their 10+2 education from a recognized Board are eligible to apply to undergraduate programs such as LLB, BA LLB, BBA LLB, and B.Com LLB. The students' intake of 60 in each of these courses is maintained by the institute to promote small class sizes conducive to good teaching and learning

The application process for the School of Legal Studies, RIMT University, Gobindgarh, varies depending on the program

1. For Undergraduate Programs (LLB, BA LLB, BBA LLB, B.Com LLB):

Degree wise Admission Process

LLB (Bachelor of Laws): It is a three-year undergraduate program with an intake of 60 students. Admission is on the merit basis as per the 10+2 examination of the candidate. Total fees for the program will be Rs. 360,000.

BA LLB, BBA LLB, B.Com LLB: They are five-year integrated programs with an intake of 60 students each. They suppose to consider the candidate's 10+2 marks and possibly an interview for admission. Total fees for each one of them are Rs. 540,000.

LLM: It is generally accepted that a candidate will hold a bachelor degree in law. The basis of selection may include individual performances, whether Law graduate studies with further consideration given to an entrance test or an interview

Ph.D. Law (Full-time and Part-time): In the case of a structured process for admission, candidates are subjected to an entrance examination on general knowledge, aptitude, reasoning, and discipline-specific knowledge in law. The entrance test covers questions on general knowledge, aptitude, reasoning, and the concerned subject/discipline in which admission is sought. A total of 8 students are admitted in both full-time and part-time Ph.D. programs that ensure focused research with individual attention.
