SD College is for women Moga was affiliated to Punjab university Patiala established in 1969 is one of the leading institution of Punjab. Established in 1966 with the collaboration of Panjab University, it is a women’s University that has been providing education to women for the last 50 years. Located over an area of 1.5 acres, this college has 14 multiple courses in 9 different degree programmes to fill the academic needs of different students. Currently the college has a students’ population of 550 and a faculty of 29 teachers thus providing students with appropriate facilities and good student teachers ratio. The college has NAAC accreditation highlighting its determination to uphold quality education to their students.

SD College has various facilities which are modern to support the several academic activities of the institution. The library of the college provides a rather large stock of books, reference books, periodicals, newspapers, journals and textbooks for the students and teachers of the college. Several laboratories in the form of well equipped are also available to meet the requirement of different departments. The college also has an air conditioned seminar hall with an accommodation capacity of about 100 students, with acoustics and audio visual facilities necessary for seminars, symposiums and group discussions. In the interest of all students there is a well-ventilated and clean canteen where modem nutritious food is available at moderate cost. The college is concerned with the health needs of students, which is why it has a dispensary through which students can access free medication besides which, does receive frequent visits from medical personnel.

This college in Moga, SD College for Women, is equipped with all the necessary programmes needed in various fields of study. The institution offers fourteen programmes fifteen of which are at undergraduate level while three are postgraduate. The undergraduate programmes are BA, BCA, B.Com, B.Sc Fashion Designing, and B.Voc in Hospital Administration and Management and Food Processing and Quality Management. For postgraduate programmes the college offers Master of Arts (M.A.) in English, History, Punjabi, Hindi, and Economics; Master of Commerce (M.Com.); Master of Science in Information Technology (M.Sc IT); and Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA). These programmes are offered in full time and would equip the student with proper knowledge and skills in their areas of specialisation.

SD College for Women, Moga, and is the leading college affiliated with Punjab University, Patiala. The whole admission process of the college takes place solely on merit and in a transparent manner according to the regulations specified by Punjab University and Punjab Government.  Generally, the admissions process of SD College for Women opens its veil just before the new academic year starts i.e. mostly in the month of August to September.  Eligibility varies according to the choice of program.
