Sri Venkateswara College of Education, Srikakulam, was started in the year 2012, it is a prime teacher training college located at Etcherla, Andhra Pradesh. This is a co-educational, institute-affiliated college under the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college is affiliated with Dr BR Ambedkar University, Srikakulam. Located in a limited plot size of 3,366 square meters, the college provides only three focused programmes in education. With the student enrolment numbering 33 and faculty strength of 12.

Through the provision of various facilities, Sri Venkateswara College of Education has endeavoured to provide other facilities that complement its learning activities. A collection of books and other materials in a public or a private institution, especially for use by students and faculty, is referred to as a library. Sri Venkateswara College of Education offers three courses in teacher education, and each of them caters to a different sector. The institute has a total of about two hundred and fifty seats for all its programmes as approved. That includes a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) for 50 intakes, a three-year Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) for 100 intakes and a two-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with 100 intakes. These courses are intended to prepare students for teaching and educational management professions in the subject area.

At Sri Venkateswara College of Education, admission is strictly according to the merit for which students are offered according to the marks they secured in their previous examinations and entrance tests as per the guidelines of the state government and this university. In the case of the B.P.Ed programme, the selection procedure includes a written test, a fitness test, an interview and the percentage secured in the qualifying examination.
