St Ignatius College of Education, Palayamkottai Admission Process

One of the important autonomous institutions in teacher training is the St. Ignatius College of Education, Palayamkottai. The college imparts different academic programs, which include B.Ed, M.Ed, M.Phil in Education, and Ph.D. in Education. The entire process of admission at St. Ignatius College of Education is aimed at the selection of worthy candidates who will eventually take the path of teacher training professionally. Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed: The college has a sanctioned intake of 100 students into the B.Ed. Programme. Admission to the B.Ed. Programme at St. Ignatius College of Education will be as per the statutory provisions of the University and the Government of Tamil Nadu. The selection will be based on the marks achieved in the qualifying examination and other criteria that may be fixed by the authorities.

M.Ed: Admission to the Master of Education (M.Ed) program is 50 places. Admissions to the M.Ed program are based on merit, according to the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. The college may conduct an entrance examination or follow another selection process according to the policy of the state government and the university.
