Yes, My college have all the necessary facilities and equipment. Our college have clean and big classrooms, include high tech laboratories , library has large number of books which students can access, sports which are mostly played in our college are cricket, badminton and football .The hostels are also well maintained also the wifi connection are also very nice. The living spaces are no doubt very clean and food provided is also very hygienic.
I am the student of English honours and the quality of teaching is very good as the professors are too good from the perspective of their knowledge and the teaching skills. The faculty of English in our college is totally updated and include all the developments regarding the subject. I want to become a professor, so the curriculum which I'm pursuing makes me job ready.
To be honest the placement is not really good . It's only for a few courses and in English courses there is no guaranteed placement , you have to find your own internships, but for other courses few top companies visit for the recruitment.
Yes, definitely the fees is worth according to my curriculum. And it is 30,000 Rs per year
Our college campus has largest area where students and staff feel nice and wonderful. All the facilities are available for students to learn more and new things so that they can boost up their capabilities. The students, teachers and staffs are very supportive and cooperative. The location is also very nice as it's between the market area , students can afford all stationary assentials around the college .All hostels surrounded the college campus which makes it safe and also handle emergencies.
The experience as being a Xavierian makes me feel proud .
College infrastructure is above average, it has 2 canteen, 1 cafeteria, 2 computer lab, 1 central library, classes infrastructure areaverage, small field , basic sports equipment, toilets are not good, wifi is available for staffs only and not for students
In tems of academic college is average, professor never completed their syllabus in time from semester 1 to 6 no teacher has completed their syllabus, just before end- sem teacher complete syllabus and teach 1 chapter in just 2 days
Placement is not good, their is very less placement in college, very few students get selected and very few company come to college for placement, if you want to take job after graduation don't take admission in this college
Below average
No smart boards, bigger library is not there infrastructure is not so good, bathroom are very poor no special ground is there do not have comfortable seats no wifi is provided to us and no ventilation is there in bathroom
Focuses on quality education have good professor who provides values to the students to move further in life and how to achieve goals take exams regularly and judge students on their capability of their capacity
Not many companies visit the campus, there is no placement cell placement officer is corrupted very less student are selected by companies only 2% students get placed no information is there on time bigger companies do not visit on regular basis
It is value for money
Not so good environment and boring campus
It provides quality education but it lacks in educational environment and infrastructure these areas should be improved
In terms of infrastructure college is average there is no proper washroom in most of the building, canteen food is also poor. Gym is good at very reasonable price with lot of equipments, there is 3 computer labs 3 three canteen 1 playgrond.
At least in ranchi jharkhand this college is best in academics performance. St xaviers college is too much concerned about the quality of education being given to the students. The only drawback is lack of pratical exposer.
Placement cell of the college is too poor, placement ratio of the college is 5:10 and that too at very low CTC. Few department have a good record but maximum of them have not, pg courses have a bit better placements.
Most of the courses have less than 2 lakh
Campus life is just average because campus is too small
Average
College infrastructure is very good the vocational building is a bit old but still it is above average departments expect vocational have new and advanced buildings with modern facilities like ac and lifts. There is a football size field, a huge auditorium, 3 computer labs, a gym, 3 canteens, a stage, a central library, 6 departmental libraries.
St Xavier is a brand name in the world of colleges, first because of the strict rule and regulations, then comes the academic performance. St Xavier college Ranchi is ranked 1 in terms of academic excellence in Jharkhand state.
The placement cell of the college is average for some departments and above average for some departments. Overall it can be said as average because placement ratio of the college is below 50%. St Xavier Ranchi is not a good option if you want to be placed in a good company just after the graduation.
A big yes the college is value for money college because most of the department have less the 2 lakh fee for the whole 3 years of course. The only drawback is return on investment which is below average.
Campus life is quite good but you just have to maintain the discipline if you don't want be suspended.
The overall rating is 7 out of 10 from my side.
College is approx 80 years old but still it is quite good in terms of infrastructure, there is sperate buildings for different departments. There a gym, a football size field, 3 computer labs, 3 canteen, a central library.
St Xavier's group of colleges are always known for their academic excellence and decipline same in case of ranchi branch. The main focus of the college is provide quality education to their students. St Xavier's College Ranchi is best in jharkhand in context to acadmics.
Placement cell is average of the college placement ratio is 5:10 in the college, some of the departments have good placement record and some have very bad, and if it comes to my department adv and mrkt it is average.
Most of the courses have less than 50000 fee per year.
Campus Life may varries from person to person as this college is very strict in terms of decipline.
A bit above average infrastructure. If your classes take place in main building then those classrooms are good, except if you are in vocational course. Availability of canteen, washrooms, fine. Sports ground is also there
They did a good job by introducing a certification course in addition to normal vocational course like nccmp, ncfm which might add value in your academic career. Main paper teachers are good and impart knowledge well
Placements come in the form of opportunities (most of it). And in most of them don't expect a package more than 3-3.5. If a company entails increment over years then good. This is all for undergrad students
The vocational courses cost around 50000 per year and extra 18000-20000 for the certification course. Other (undergraduate) courses are not that expensive. Value for money but not when they increase the fees
Campus life is dynamic only if you are part of clubs and events otherwise the only thing making it likeable are your friends. A major event happens a year lasting for 3 days, something you can enjoy (or not)
Infrastructure is good not that happening but for a city like ranchi it's good. Yes there are smartboards and they are used most often. Everything is well maintained and completely hygiene including the food. The food here tastes like home.
To be honest it totally depends on the professors assigned to your department. And my overall experience has been good regarding this. No college can make you job ready it totally depends on you but yes they play a major role in developing confidence and Xavier's does that very well.
I don't know about other departments but in our department there is no placement in the bachelor's degree course. Maybe in masters placement is offered which I'm also not sure about. But one thing that Xavier will surely give you will be it's brand name.
My course costs 60,000 and I don't think it's worth it because due to pandemic there was no practical done so totally not worth it.
There are a lot to activities happening inside the campus which you can involve yourself into and the best out of them is Rotaract.
Nice campus. Be it library or gym it was all covered from top to bottom. Everything is available in the college itself. Good equipments in game room and all. Overall it's a nice campus ?, also the grounds are available for athletes.
Teachers and faculty are nice and up-to-date with the course, the punctuality of the faculty is nice. Topic covering skills is nice too. College brings in new courses every now and then one can seek for new goals here.
No such thing as college placement, you got to go look for yourself, there are specific facility who can help you but the college placement is very limited like only few can get selected. And the companies are usually the city specific
Decent
Nice
Yes, college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment like bulk place, enough parking space, college buildings shows it's architectural beauty. Almost every building has it's own beauty like sports club, has its own library. We have classrooms fully air conditioned, with smart boards and clean board. College has it's own boys hostel only. All living spaces is very neat and tidy and there are in total four different types of cantene and the food quality is amazing.
If you have any interest in finance and accounts, go for this course. Environment is best and it provides a great platform for finance aspiring students to achieve something with this course and gain knowledge as much as they can. As for now due to corona all the classes are going online but the assignments given to us are of primitive nature as they only ask for handwritten notes and they do not accept copy paste works. and the way professor teaches us is excellent.
On campus placements are available. There are 10 to 20 companies visits every year. But marks matters the most with your good communication skills. As I am in my last sem right now. I don't know much about the highest salary package but it was around 10 lac p/a for just a graduate student with this course only. I am not commenting about any other course. And the average salary was 3 lac p/a (approx). No, getting placed is not an easy process, you have to work hard for getting placed.
It costs me 90k per year for a general category student which I totally think is fairly high but there are some scholarships for people who belong to other categories. Considering the fees and the curriculum it is not really value for money especially when you compare it with any other course. At last it's worth it only because teaching is excellent.
If i can describe it in one word college campus is "the best" . Student can engage in different types of activities like theatre, writing, volunteering, event management, different types of cultural groups like NSS, NCC. And if you joined Xavier's must join any one group at least. It's worth it. The students, professors and staffs are very supportive in nature. College is very safe and can handle any emergencies in a perfectly way.
Always use all the campus facilities, join gym. Join anything and do give a chance to all the extra curricular activities because trust me it's gonna worth it. Always participate in sports, fests. Join any clubs like NSS, NCC etc. At last be active to present a good resume and to get placed in a good company with good package.

Hey there
As I have searched Saint Xaviers College of Ranchi doesn't offer Master of Social Work to the students. Undergraduate and postgraduate courses which are offered in the Saint Xaviers College of Ranchi are are bachelor of arts Bachelor of Commerce master of Arts master of Commerce and master of journalism and media communication.
Hi,
It's a little different for both the colleges.
If you are willing to take admission in St. Xavier's College, Ranchi, then you have to appear for the entrance exam conducted by the college. The selection process is based on the marks obtained in the entrance exam. So, the board exam cut-off does not matter. However, candidates will be eligible to apply for admissions to this college only if he/she gets a minimum aggregate of 50% in 12th board exam from a recognized institute.
Candidates willing to take admission in Calcutta University should have completed 12th boards from a recognized institute with a minimum aggregate of 50%. The candidate has to apply to the respective colleges under Calcutta University & wait for the counselling process to begin. The cut off for BA Geography Hons. in Calcutta University cannot be predicted this year due to the confusion in the board exam results of the various boards but if you have got around 85% & above then you have a probability of getting a seat. Having said that, you should apply for your choice of college & wait for the counselling process to begin, you may get a seat.
Hope this helps.
