Great exposure to extra curricular activities

    College Infrastructure

Campus is pretty small, however every facility is available. Classrooms have proper facilities but not all the classrooms are similar. Wifi is not available for students in the campus. Maintenance is not done quite often but it can be improved.

    Academics

The syllabus for my course, BBA was pretty amazing given that I now compare it to MBA and it's visible how up to date the things were, specially in marketing. Feedbacks are taken for all subjects and processes.

    Placements

UG placements are average, it's not a technical college, therefore it's focussed mainly on theoretical programs. But everything is done through superset which makes the processes easy. Also, there's no placecom and professors are the ones handling everything.

    Value for Money

Yes. The fees is not very high and it can be said that we get the value for money. Facilities like mess, stationary shops etc. Are present in the campus and everything is streamlined making the experience smooth.

    Campus Life

There's not much campus life in the college as you don't stay in the college. Also, the campus is small which means that you don't get much space away from faculty. Gym, mess, other facilities are available.

it was a average experience since academics was a priority

    College Infrastructure

The college is spacious and there are all adequate amenities required in a modern college , there is a club house , a really wonderful canteen's not one but almost three of them , the central canteen is one of the best i have seen in a college

    Academics

The study is good but it is outdated in terms faculty and course structure. The curriculum really needs updating and also faculty is not enough to cope up with the requirements of the new cbcs course , so in terms of it the college really needs to change

    Placements

There are not many placement options after graduation , also in masters courses the placement isn't good as well , it is also down the fact that there are not many good corporate job opportunities in the city of Ranchi

    Value for Money

Because of average academics and further career prospects I gave it such a rating.

    Campus Life

Campus life is pretty normal just like most colleges , in terms of opportunities in terms of academics its lagging behind.

    College Infrastructure

College infrastructure is good. They make sure of the students facilities and interests. The college is strict for discipline and making the students work in a organised way also how to be active in every activity.

    Academics

Academic mainly focus on presentation of a student the prepare them for upcoming challenges. Every student where supposed to take part in activities like events and documentaries making they also to do it on time.

    Placements

College doesn't provide placement but they prepare us how to grab opportunities and in place of placement they will suggest you the company where you can apply which was actually not acceptable there.

    Value for Money

You can it's 50-50 because they give you knowledge but not placement. If you are looking for the placement college then it's not for you. But they will give full knowledge and also mold you in the same way.

    Campus Life

My campus life was great because we enjoyed studying there and the extra activities where a lot.

Yes, My college have all the necessary facilities and equipment. Our college have clean and big classrooms, include high tech laboratories , library has large number of books which students can access, sports which are mostly played in our college are cricket, badminton and football .The hostels are also well maintained also the wifi connection are also very nice. The living spaces are no doubt very clean and food provided is also very hygienic.

    Academics

I am the student of English honours and the quality of teaching is very good as the professors are too good from the perspective of their knowledge and the teaching skills. The faculty of English in our college is totally updated and include all the developments regarding the subject. I want to become a professor, so the curriculum which I'm pursuing makes me job ready.

    Placements

To be honest the placement is not really good . It's only for a few courses and in English courses there is no guaranteed placement , you have to find your own internships, but for other courses few top companies visit for the recruitment.

    Value for Money

Yes, definitely the fees is worth according to my curriculum. And it is 30,000 Rs per year

    Campus Life

Our college campus has largest area where students and staff feel nice and wonderful. All the facilities are available for students to learn more and new things so that they can boost up their capabilities. The students, teachers and staffs are very supportive and cooperative. The location is also very nice as it's between the market area , students can afford all stationary assentials around the college .All hostels surrounded the college campus which makes it safe and also handle emergencies.

In terms of infrastructure college is average there is no proper washroom in most of the building, canteen food is also poor. Gym is good at very reasonable price with lot of equipments, there is 3 computer labs 3 three canteen 1 playgrond.

    Academics

At least in ranchi jharkhand this college is best in academics performance. St xaviers college is too much concerned about the quality of education being given to the students. The only drawback is lack of pratical exposer.

    Placements

Placement cell of the college is too poor, placement ratio of the college is 5:10 and that too at very low CTC. Few department have a good record but maximum of them have not, pg courses have a bit better placements.

    Value for Money

    College Infrastructure

College infrastructure is very good the vocational building is a bit old but still it is above average departments expect vocational have new and advanced buildings with modern facilities like ac and lifts. There is a football size field, a huge auditorium, 3 computer labs, a gym, 3 canteens, a stage, a central library, 6 departmental libraries.

    Academics

St Xavier is a brand name in the world of colleges, first because of the strict rule and regulations, then comes the academic performance. St Xavier college Ranchi is ranked 1 in terms of academic excellence in Jharkhand state.

    Placements

The placement cell of the college is average for some departments and above average for some departments. Overall it can be said as average because placement ratio of the college is below 50%. St Xavier Ranchi is not a good option if you want to be placed in a good company just after the graduation.

    Value for Money

A big yes the college is value for money college because most of the department have less the 2 lakh fee for the whole 3 years of course. The only drawback is return on investment which is below average.

    Campus Life

Campus life is quite good but you just have to maintain the discipline if you don't want be suspended.

I want to pursue MSW from St. Xaviers college,Ranchi. Can i ??

    Hey there

As I have searched Saint Xaviers College of Ranchi doesn't offer Master of Social Work to the students. Undergraduate and postgraduate courses which are offered in the Saint Xaviers College of Ranchi are are bachelor of arts Bachelor of Commerce master of Arts master of Commerce and master of journalism and media communication.

what is the cutoff of St. Xaviers college, ranchi and Calcutta University, Kolkata.....(general category) for ba geo hons.

    Hi,

It's a little different for both the colleges.

If you are willing to take admission in St. Xavier's College, Ranchi, then you have to appear for the entrance exam conducted by the college. The selection process is based on the marks obtained in the entrance exam. So, the board exam cut-off does not matter. However, candidates will be eligible to apply for admissions to this college only if he/she gets a minimum aggregate of 50% in 12th board exam from a recognized institute.

Candidates willing to take admission in Calcutta University should have completed 12th boards from a recognized institute with a minimum aggregate of 50%. The candidate has to apply to the respective colleges under Calcutta University & wait for the counselling process to begin. The cut off for BA Geography Hons. in Calcutta University cannot be predicted this year due to the confusion in the board exam results of the various boards but if you have got around 85% & above then you have a probability of getting a seat. Having said that, you should apply for your choice of college & wait for the counselling process to begin, you may get a seat.

    Hope this helps.
