Vedaranyam College of Education, Thiruvallur, is a co-educational institution committed to offering teacher education. The NCTE-approved college provides two full-time courses: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.).

Application Process

The application process of Vedaranyam College of Education, Thiruvallur, generally consists of the following steps:

2. Application Form: Application form may be taken by candidates either from the website of the college or directly in person from the office of the college.

3. Submission of documents: Together with the duly filled-in application form, the candidates are supposed to submit the documents given below:

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education):
The Vedaranyam College of Education offers approved admission of 100 seats in the B.Ed. course. The course is admitted on the basis of marks secured in the entrance test and/or the qualifying test. The selection process is according to the guidelines given by the Tamil Nadu state government as well as the affiliated university. Candidates need to hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized university to undertake the B.Ed. course.

D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education):
The D.El.Ed. course has 50 seats and admits on the same procedure as the B.Ed. course. The candidates are shortlisted based on marks obtained in the entrance exam and/or qualifying exam, as decided by the state government or UT administration rules. The D.El.Ed. course is for candidates who wish to be primary school teachers.

Both the courses are two-year full-time courses. The college maintains the admission process merit-based and transparent, giving an equal chance to all deserving candidates.
