The Venkatesvara College of Education, Pudukkottai, is one of the most reputed institutions for teacher education in the country. Application Process:
The mode of application for Venkatesvara College of Education, Pudukkottai, is as follows:
1. Announcement of Admissions-The commencement of admission process by the college for B.Ed and M.Ed programs shall be in the form of a notification issued as per stipulations of state government and affiliated university.
2. Application Form: Candidates must procure the prescribed form and apply within the given time limits. Applications can be purchased through the online route of the college website or obtained at the centralized admission portal of the state/university.
3. Document Submission: After completion of the application form, candidates should submit the required documents. These generally include mark sheets of qualifying examinations-undergraduate degree for B.Ed, B.Ed degree for M.Ed). It includes Valid ID proof, Passport-sized photographs, and any other certificates as specified by the college or governing bodies.
4. Entrance Examination: The candidate has to undergo an entrance test as per the regulation of the state government policy or of the affiliated university (wherever applicable).
5. Merit List Preparation. Body shall prepare a merit list on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the qualifying examination and/or the entrance examination.
6. Counselling and Seat Allocation: Eligible candidates will be counselled for seat allotment according to merit and availability.
7. Payment of Fees and Confirmation of Admission: The aforementioned candidates will also pay the prescribed fee and complete the admission process within the prescribed time limit.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education): The two-year full-time B.Ed program has an intake capacity of 100 students and is approved for admission. Admission to this program is on merit, based on marks obtained in their qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, according to policies established by state government, Union Territory administration and by the affiliated university. Candidates must have completed their undergraduate degree to be qualified for the B.Ed course.
M.Ed (Master of Education): The M.Ed program, like B.Ed, is also a two-year full-time conducted course with approved intake capacity for admissions of 50 students in two batches. Since the M.Ed and B.Ed admissions will also depend on the same merit parameters, the process for admission into the M.Ed will similarly be based on merit in the qualifying examination (generally B.Ed) and/or entrance examination. The selection process follows the governing bodies' regulations. An eligible candidate should have completed his B.Ed for applying to the M.Ed course.
