    About Swayam 2026

    The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the exam dates for the January 2026 Semester.   NTA will conduct the SWAYAM January 2026 semester exam on June  17, 18, 19, 20 and 21, 2026, in both online and offline (pen-and-paper) modes. June 22 and 23 are the buffer exam dates. We can expect the admit cards to be released by 10 - 12 June if we go by the past trends. The results are generally announced after one month of the examination date. 

    NTA conducts the SWAYAM semester examinations twice a year for the students who are enrolled in SWAYAM courses. Enrollment in the SWAYAM courses is free; however, to appear in the NTA SWAYAM semester exam, candidates have to pay the SWAYAM exam fees of Rs. 500 to Rs. 750 per course, which varies according to the students’ category. For the additional course, candidates have to pay Rs. 400 to Rs. 600 per course. Appearing for the SWAYAM semester exam is mandatory for students who want to get the SWAYAM certificate, as the final score is one of the important factors to be eligible for certification.

    Students enrolled in any of the courses in the January 2026 semester are eligible to appear in the semester examination. 

    For Students Who Want to Appear in Multiple Exams: Students can take only one course per shift, so the maximum number of papers they can appear for in the SWAYAM January exam is eight. If a student is taking multiple courses, make sure they are scheduled in different shifts.

    Candidates meeting the minimum cutoff for the SWAYAM exam will be eligible for the SWAYAM certificate.

    According to the latest notice, the minimum passing mark for the SWAYAM exam is 40 per cent or above. Candidates securing the SWAYAM cut off of 40 per cent, consisting of 25 per cent of the assignment and 75 per cent of the written exam, are eligible for the SWAYAM certificate.
