    NTA has released the Swayam January semester 2026 exam pattern in online mode. For SWAYAM January semester, NTA is conducting exams for 900 courses.     The NTA SWAYAM exam 2026 January semester is conducted under three different schemes, and the paper pattern varies for each. In the first scheme, which was conducted in CBT mode, there are 132 papers, each consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).     • If any question is cancelled or dropped due to a technical error, full marks will be given to all candidates who attempted it.
    • In case of any confusion or error in translation or wording of a question, the English version will be considered final, and the decision of NTA will be binding.

    Guidelines to Appear in Multiple SWAYAM Exams

    If a candidate has enrolled for more than one course falling in the same shift, he or she must make a choice carefully as to which course, he or she would like to appear for SWAYAM exam. The candidate registering for multiple exams for Swayam exam must check the guidelines below:

    • Candidates opting for multiple exams can appear for only one course per shift
    • A maximum of ten papers can be taken across ten different shifts
    • Students enrolled in multiple courses must ensure that their chosen exams fall in separate shifts
