Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNUDOA) is a public-funded state university based in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. The university has four on-campus colleges and also has many district colleges affiliated to it. The on-campus colleges span about 20 departments and have comprehensive academic courses in a plethora of fields like computer science, commerce, education, engineering, arts, sciences, among others. Facilities

To support its students and to ensure that they have a nice stay in the university, the Adikavi Nannaya University offers a plethora of facilities to its students.

The AKNUDOA Library: The university library has been established since 2006 and holds one of the largest collections of books, journals, magazines and other such works for students, faculty, and scholars. This ensures that they are well-equipped with all the material that they are looking for. It also contains a collection of books on TOEFL and GRE with cassettes. The collection of CDs and cassettes is also available for a wider range of books. It also prides in holding the last print edition of the Oxford Dictionary in 20 volumes.

Hostel Facilities: The AKNUDOA hostel facilities are available for both men and women. They are allotted rooms with mess facilities for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food options. To book the hostel, you have to pay a refundable maintenance fee of Rs. 4000 and the rest pricing is based on the duration of your course.

Sports Facilities: The university also provides its students with good sports facilities for their overall development. To help students gain a healthy competitive spirit, it organises many intramural and extramural activities on a regular basis. They also have inter-college competitions between all the colleges once a year. The sports facilities are available for various indoor and outdoor sports including baseball, basketball, chess, cricket, athletics, etc.

NSS: The AKNUDOA also supports NSS(National Service Scheme) and students can accordingly enrol in it. It is one of the few colleges that support this scheme. It helps students gain humanitarian feelings and work in harmony with each other. Under this organisation, many health camps and blood donation camps are held.

Cafeteria: The university provides hygienic and nice canteen facilities for the faculty members and the students.

Medical Facilities: The Adikavi Nannaya University also has a Health Centre to keep a track of all the students’ health and ensure that they are prepared for all emergencies. There is a residing medical officer in the health centre to ensure all-round readiness for emergencies. There are also nurses to support him and a pharmacy to get immediate support.

Auditorium: The university has a spacious and well-built auditorium for its students. It is used to conduct the various seminars and events that the university holds in the benefit of the students.

Laboratories: To ensure good technical assistance for all the students studying in the campus, the university has well-equipped laboratories for every department. They have all the modern equipment in a good condition for students to get a practical and hands-on approach.

Admissions

Admission Procedure for B.Tech Programme

● The student should have passed 10+2 higher secondary education with a minimum of 50% marks

● Then the student should’ve passed the AP-EAMCET or JEE with suitable marks

The Adikavi Nannaya University(AKNUDOA) is a public-funded State University that was established in 2006. The UGC also approves it, and many district colleges are also affiliated with this university. It provides opportunities for undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral courses in these fields. The AKNUDOA provides good placement facilities. This is done using the AKNUDOA Placement Cell.

Step 1: The students have to first apply for AKNUDOA placements and register with the Placement cell of Adikavi Nannaya University. The institute then talks to various companies for on-campus arrangements, and they fill their requirements in the form that the university sends them. With that, an estimate of the eligibility and salary package of the students is determined.

Step 2: The students are then given pre-placement talks wherein they are told about the requirements of the various companies. Also, their eligibility is checked for being applicable to apply for jobs at the required companies. In this manner, the students are prepared beforehand.

Step 5: On clearance of the personal interview, the students are provided with an offer letter wherein their responsibilities, and their salary packages are mentioned. They have to then accept or reject the offer that is given.
