Adikavi Nannaya University’s constituent college, the University College of Arts and Commerce, was set up in the year 2006 in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. This prestigious university is located on a 96.27 acre barque and is famous for a range of study courses. The college has a total enrolment of 499 students and boasts of 38 hardworking qualified faculty members. This institution established under the AICTE offers 9 courses in three degree programmes of specialisations in Management Science, Commerce and many realms of Arts. This is so because a competent college embarks on offering numerous and quality programs in addition to possessing quality infrastructures.
For the students benefit, the University College of Arts and Commerce has several facilities that improve learning. The college also has a fully functional sports complex through which students are given full encouragement on issues of physical fitness and team work. An auditorium can be described as a hall that is used for all kind of events and seminars which is helpful in improving education as well as culture in a society. The pride of the institution is the Dr. BR Ambedkar Central Library a three storied building having a collection of one lakh books and one thousand two hundred and odd journals of various fields. The latest technology is installed for teaching and learning, and other latest techniques are implemented for teaching-learning process comfort; separated hostel accommodation for boys and girls is provided for out-station students.
In total, there are nine full time postgraduate courses available in the institution, to cover various fields of study. They offer MBA in General Management and Tourism & Hospitality Management, Masters in Commerce and several Masters in Arts in subjects such as Economics, English, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work and Telugu. The college as a whole has an overall capacity of 270 students that has been duly approved for all its courses and each course programme has an intake capacity of 30 students. These various programmes allow the students to gain specialised knowledge in their fields of choice in order to prepare for careers or for further studies.
