Acharya Ramendra Sundar Primary Teacher's Training Institute, Birbhum. Being NCTE approved institution, it offers two major courses of study, namely Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed).

Degree-wise Admission Process
B.Ed (Bachelor of Education):
The B.Ed program at Acharya Ramendra Sundar Primary Teacher Training Institute is a two-year full-time course; 50 seats are available. The admission procedure for B.Ed. runs on the basis of the marks scored by the student in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. State government policies and the affiliated university policies are followed during the entire selection process. Generally, eligibility includes a bachelor's degree or equivalent in any subject from a recognized University.
D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
The D.El.Ed program is also a two-year full-time course having an intake of 50 seats. Admission to the program is on a merit basis based on the marks secured in the qualifying examination. There may be an additional selection process which the institute may conduct as per the instructions of the state government's guidelines. Qualification for D.El.Ed usually means that the candidates need to have passed a 10+2 or an equivalent examination from any recognized board.
