Arya Kanya Gurukul College of Education, Karnal, is an affiliated college approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The admission policy of the college is framed in accordance with the guidelines of State Government, U.T. Administration, and the affiliated University. The admission process is framed to help in identifying deserving candidates based on their performance in the qualifying examinations and/or entrance test.

Prospective students should bear in mind that the college is for female candidates only, as per the institute gender policy. This intent focuses on women's education and is congruent with the college's objective of empowering and educating females in the educational sector.

Application Process

1. Announcement for Admissions:
   The college announces admission following other media and through the admissions office.

2. Application Form:
   Candidates are required to fill out the application form after obtaining it from the college premises.

3. Filing of Documents:
   Candidates have to submit the duly completed application form together with documents required:

   • Mark sheets of qualifying examinations

   • Valid ID proof

   • Passport size photographs

   • Any other certificate or other document as required by the college

4. Entrance Examination:
   As per the course and present admission policy, candidates may be required to appear for an entrance examination conducted either by the state or the affiliated university.

5. Preparing the Merit List:
   The college prepares a merit list based on the performance of the candidates in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test according to the admission policy.

6. Counseling and Seat Allotment:
   Eligible candidates are called for counseling and allotment of seats based on merit and choice.

7. Fee Payment:
   Selected candidates are required to pay the prescribed fees to secure their admission.

8. Document Verification:
   The college verifies all original documents attached by the candidate during the admission process.

Degree-wise Admission Process

• B.Ed (Bachelor in Education):
  Arya Kanya Gurukul College of Education, Karnal for the B.Ed program has an approved intake of seats. Admission to B.Ed. course will be made on the basis of merit on the weighted basis of marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The selection procedure will also consider other criteria as laid down by Grants-in-Aid, i.e. state government policy, U.T. Administration, and the affiliated university. The candidates must fulfill eligibility criteria in regard to B.Ed admission as laid down by regulatory bodies.

• D.Ed (Diploma in Education):
  D.Ed program has seats for teacher trainees. Admission procedure in D.Ed is also based on merit according to marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test. The college follows the selection process prescribed by the State Government or UT Administration. The candidates must be eligible based on the High Secondary level of education (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board.

The modern infrastructure of the college provides a great support to the learning process, i.e. well-equipped class rooms, a library with more than 6,000 volumes, science laboratories, an auditorium, and a girls' hostel, which together provide a good ambience for academic pursuits and the overall development of students.
