AWH College of Education was set up in 1996 at Cheruvannur, Feroke, Calicut, Kerala and is an affliated college. The institute already holds recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and focuses on teacher education. AWH College of Education occupies a confined parcel of 5.0625 acres and provides 6 courses on 5 programs for a whole enrolment of 156 students. The number of students of the college is fairly distributed with the college employing 20 dedicated faculty members. The institute offers learning programmes that comprise B.ED, M.ED, D.EL.ED and other education related courses with a focus in special education.

The AWH College of Education has several infrastructures which are intended to support learning processes within institutions. A big library with seating capacity one hundred is available to B. Ed, T. T. C & M. Ed students, which possess 7348 books, 20 journals 6 magazines and 27 encyclopedia and 159 audio visual CD. There is Educational Technology Lab, Language & Micro Teaching Lab, Psychology Lab, Computer Lab with 16 computers and internet facilities in this college. There are facilities for sports and games and also an auditorium for co curricular activities. On the same note, the campus is equipped with production of a health centre for first aid purposes for the students.

AWH College of Education has a plethora of full-time programs that are available for study in education. Here 6 courses are being offered by this institute B.ED, M.ED, D.EL.ED, B.ED Special Education (Hearing Impaired), D.ED Special Education, Diploma in Community Based Rehabilitation. 

A new programme was introduced in AWH College of Education with regard to admission whereby the process differs from one programme to another. For B.Ed programmes, they use entrance to admit students. Admission for the M.Ed programme is divided intake 50% through university level examination conducted by the university and remaining 50% through management quota on merit basis. For admission to D.El.Ed, the management takes into account the score achieved in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, as per the norms prescribed by the state government. The B.Ed Special Education (Hearing Impaired) programme provides 50% direct admission intake and 50% through management quota.
