Bankim Behari Teachers Training Institute, Paschim Medinipur, is a relatively new institute devoted to preparing future teachers. The institute has specialized courses in teacher training and is certified by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Bankim Behari Teachers Training Institute's admission process is also designed to select very keen and apt candidates as teachers.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Ed (Bachelor of Education):
The Bankim Behari Teachers Training Institute B.Ed programme has an annual strength of 100 students. The admission to B.Ed programme is based on merit of marks obtained in entrance and/or qualifying examination. Other criteria may also be taken into account as per State Government of West Bengal policy or university affiliating policy. The total fee for B.Ed programme is Rs 100,000.
D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
The D.El.Ed course also has an admission of 100 students annually. Similar to the B.Ed course, D.El.Ed admission is merit-based on marks of the qualifying exam and/or entrance exam. Other selection processes may be followed as per government or university guidelines. The total fee for the D.El.Ed course is Rs 73,600.
