Third generation, Bharathiyar College of Education, Marakkanam recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), is placed in Villupuram, Tamil Nadu. The selection procedure for D.El.Ed is similar to that of B.Ed, being based on candidates' merit judged from their qualifying-exam scores or through any defined entrance test scores. This course is aimed at training teachers for primary schools.
