Bhavan’s Leelavati Munshi College of Education, New Delhi, India, is a young institution recognised in the year 2016. This co-educational college is situated in the populous capital city and is established to produce educationists for the future. It is one of the affiliated colleges of a large university system and thus maintains quality education and at least minimum standards and curriculum. The college has secured no objection from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) which confirms its commitment on maintaining excellence in teacher education. With a campus area of 0.87 acres, the college offers education to 284 students at present; it is staffed with 17 faculty members. The institution provides two professional programmes, both of which are oriented on the preparation of students for practice in education.

Since the college provides both B.A. and B.Ed programmes the admission process is different for each course offered in the college. However, the admission policy of the D.El.Ed programme is different and is in conformity with the state government or UT administration policy. Generally the admission procedure may be merit based depending on marks of the qualifying examination and or entrance test. 2. Following this, candidates need to check the results and rank in the IPU CET.
3. Accordingly, qualified candidates can apply to Bhavan's Leelavati Munshi College of Education through the counseling process carried out by GGSIPU.
4. The allotment of seats would be done based on the rank secured by the candidate in the IPU CET.
5. This will be followed by completing the admission process at the college including document verification and fee payment.
For D.El.Ed Program:
1. Candidates would check the college website or call the admission office about the notification for the admissions for the current year.
2. Direct application to college or the designated admission authority as per policy of state government or UT administration.
3. Submission of all the necessary documents, like academic records and others as mentioned in the admission notification.
4. In case of an entrance test in the admission process, the candidates should appear for the test as scheduled.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Ed (Bachelor of Education):
The B.Ed at Bhavan's Leelavati Munshi College of Education is a two-year full-time course designed to train students to teach at the secondary and senior secondary levels. Admission to this program is purely based on the performance of the student in the IPU CET (Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test). Allocated seats of aspiring candidates are based on the ranks they get in this entrance test. This entrance test is conducted by GGSIPU as the paramount criterion for taking admission into the B.Ed program.
D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
D.El.Ed is another two-year program that prepares candidates to teach at the primary level. This program follows an entirely different admission process from B.Ed. Admission to this program is thus merit-based according to the state government or UT administration policy as stated by the college. Merit here includes the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in an entrance examination. The college may also adopt any other selection procedure put forth by the policy of the state government or UT administration.
