Purba Medinipur District in West Bengal houses the historic Deshapran College of Teachers Education, which is dedicated to utopias educationally shaping days tomorrow. The admission process at Deshapran College of Teachers Education has been instituted so that only selected few deserving candidates would gain access into educational programs within the institutions.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education):
The B.Ed. program is based on developing a good foundation of teaching for students who are basically preparing to be teachers. The application process of B.Ed. is determined by merit concerning marks obtained either in qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college has approved an intake capacity of 100 students for the B.Ed. program. Candidates must have completed a graduation course in the relevant field, as specified, to be eligible for admission.
M.Ed. (Master of Education):
M.Ed. is the program offered by Deshapran College of Teachers Education for individuals who seek to improve their qualification in the field of education. The admission process into the M.Ed. takes into consideration not only performance in the qualifying examinations but also performance on an entrance test or any other selection procedure prescribed by the competent authority. The approved intake for the college's M.Ed. program is 50. Completing a B.Ed. or its equivalent degree is a prerequisite for admission to a Master's program.
