Giriraj Nursing School, Baramati Admission Process
Giriraj Nursing School, situated in Baramati, is one of the self-financing nursing institutions in Maharashtra. The intake capacity of the Institute for the two full-time nursing programs is 147 students. The admission process in Giriraj Nursing School aims to select fit candidates primarily for Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery and General Nursing and Midwifery programs.
Admissions for both ANM and GNM programs are conducted once a year at Giriraj Nursing School. The eligibility for the students is as per the norms laid down by the Indian Nursing Council. Most of the candidates are selected on the basis of performance in qualifying examinations; in some cases there may be entrance tests or interviews required.

Degree-wise Admission Process
ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery): Functional ANM program at Giriraj Nursing School is two years, with the intention of equipping students for nursing-midwifery upon ANM admission requirements, which according to expectations means an intake of students once every year. The program has an intake of 30 students. The eligibility criteria generally require completion of 10+2 or equivalent in a recognized board, whereas preference is given to service stream students.
GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): GNM is a three-year course, inclusive of nursing and midwifery training. Similar to the ANM program, admission of students to GNM is done once in a year. The sanctioned intake for this program is also 30 students. The eligibility for passing GNM courses as a rule is considered to be a qualifying 10+2 per equivalent, preferably with science subjects. Even ANM vocational course graduates may be considered for GNM admission in some institutes.
