Hello rkmittal
Congratulation on securing good marks in JEE Mains. As the percentile and rank depends on many factors like difficulty level of the paper and number of students in that shift. You can expect your percentile to be in the range of 95-96 percentile and your rank between 40-45k.
Best wishes to you :)
Hello Sir/Mam,
Since you have not mentioned the category of your son so considering it as General category. If wrong then kindly correct me in the comment section below.
See till now the official qualifying cut-offs have not been released and the qualifying cut-off percentiles are released along with final result of JEE-Main 2022 which will be released after both the sessions i.e. most probably in August '22.
But o n such percentile, being a General candidate he has very less chances to qualify for JEE-Advance 2022 but still the cutoffs for this year have not released yet officially.
As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2022 result so for now you can get an idea from JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-offs that are enlisted below :-
==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile
==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile
==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile
Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2022 but previous year's cut-off.
You can check out previous year's cut-off trends from the link given below :-

With General category, on such percentile he might not be able to get any of the NITs through JEE-Main score but he can go for some state government engineering colleges or some private engineering colleges.
To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your JEE-Main score or rank you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!
HELLO,
College/university change after 1st year is completely dependent on the norms of the college you are enrolled in. Some colleges allow it but some do not. Moreover, you need to have excellent grades in the first year for your request of college/university change to be considered. It is advised that you contact college or university authorities to know if they allow it.
Dear sir,
Congratulations!! Your son have secured a very good rank. As you secured 92.8 percentile in AEEE, your rank will be around 2500. It is the expected rank based on the previous year's cutoff trend. It may vary
With this rank he should be able to get any branch his choice. This answer is based on previous year trends and thus could be subjected to variations. Check out the link below for more details about cut-offs.
Hope this helps.
Hello Aspirant,
According to your score 87.6 percentile in JEE mains, your general category rank will be somewhere between 136000 .
It is little difficult to get ECE, CSE, EEE branch in top NITs because getting a seat will depend on varies factors such as number of students applied for the same branch, performance of the students, category of the students, home state etc. But you have chances to get the following NITs-
