Kaliachak Sultana College of Education, Malda, is a co-educational college offering its programs through the University of West Bengal. The college was established to provide quality teacher education based on internationally accepted practice defined by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).  The admission process followed at Kaliachak Sultana College of Education for admission is totally dependent on merit keeping the marks in qualifying examination and/or entrance examination as eligibility of the candidate. The college follows the policy of the Government of the State as per the affiliated university.

The admission to B.Ed. courses requires merit list combined with other processes determined by the University. For D.El.Ed. courses, admission is also on the merit basis according to the state government or UT administration policies. The college offers two full-time courses: B.Ed. and D.El.Ed., with each operating in a two-year period. Both programs provide thorough training in teaching methodologies and educational theories.

Application Process

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Ed.: The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course at Kaliachak Sultana College of Education is a two-year course with an intake of 100 students. Admission to the course is done according to merit based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college follows the admission policy as stated by the state government and the affiliated university. Additional selection processes may be prescribed by the university for B.Ed. admissions.

D.El.Ed.: The Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) is a two-year course offered by the institution with a total of 50 seats available. The admission for this course is purely on merit, based on the marks secured in the qualifying examination. The selection process is in line with the policy adopted by the government of the state or UT administration. Graduates seeking admission to D.El.Ed. will be chosen solely on their academic merit and any extra creamy layer prescribed by authorities.
