Kalka Institute of Research and Advanced Studies (KIRAS). KIRAS is one such institute of Delhi, a reputed name in the field of education in Computer Applications and Education. It has a dual mode of admission for the two main programs which it offers, namely Bachelor in Computer Applications (BCA) and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). 

KIRAS usually follows the academic calendar of its federation university regarding the admission cycle. Even above the specific dates may vary from year to year; it is advisable for prospective applicants to start preparing their applications beforehand, typically in the months leading up to the start of the academic year.  Hence, all admissions are on merit and rewards are given on the basis of obtained marks on qualifying examinations and/or entrance tests, depending on the program and the government policies then in effect.

Application Process

The application process in Kalka Institute of Research and Advanced Studies will vary depending on the program:

For B.Ed Program;

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed: The Bachelor of Education course at KIRAS is a two-year program that aims to train students to become teachers. Admission to this course is based on meritorious performance such as marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. There are 100 sanctioned seats for the course. The policy frameworks for admissions follow that of the applicable State Government, U.T. Administration, and the affiliated university. Those eligible for this program must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.

BCA: The course is a full-time three-year course offered by KIRAS in Bachelor of Computer Applications.  Students applying are assumed to have completed 10+2 with mathematics as one of the subjects. Students would be well-grounded in computer science and applications, preparing them for the IT industry.
