Kishan Institute of Teachers' Education, Meerut, is an established name known for producing the next-generation teaching professionals. Kishan Institute has four specialist courses of teacher education to which it accepts 186 students. The B.P.Ed course, with 50 seats, has a thorough admission process. Merit-based selection is done on the basis of marks secured in the entrance test, which consists of a written test, fitness test, and interview. The percentage of the candidate in the qualifying examination is also taken into account.
Admission for the D.El.Ed course with 50 seats is made based on merit. It is decided based on marks secured in the qualifying exam and/or an entrance test. The process of selection follows the state government or UT administration policies.
The M.Ed course, having 25 seats, is merit-based in its admission procedure. The candidates are chosen on the basis of their merit in the qualifying examination, an entrance test, or any other mode of selection as may be decided by the state government's policies, the university, or the UT administration.
