Lalit Mohan Memorial College of Education, Nadia Admission Process

Lalit Mohan Memorial College of Education, Nadia, is a co-educational institution affiliated with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The admission procedure is aimed at selecting deserving candidates based on their academic performance and scores secured in the entrance examination.

Lalit Mohan Memorial College of Education currently provides training for two of the main programs: Bachelor of Education-B.Ed and Diploma in Elementary Education-D.El.Ed. Both programs span a two-year duration and are aimed at building up students as competent teachers in educational service.

Degree-Wise Admission Process

B.Ed (Bachelor of Education):
B.Ed program at Lalit Mohan Memorial College of Education admits 100 seats. Admission is done based on merit with consideration of marks scored in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination. The admission policies prescribed by the state government, the administration of the Union Territory and the affiliated University are applied. Admission seekers must fulfil the eligibility criteria as set by the regulative authorities for B.Ed programs.

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
Similar to the 100 seats approved for the B.Ed program, the admission process for this diploma is conducted with an intake of 100 seats in total. The same procedure as B.Ed is used for this course, whereby it remains on merit after considering the performance of candidates in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. Such policies as are established by respective educational authorities will apply. All candidates seeking elementary education must also meet eligibility guidelines for admission into the D.El.Ed program.
