Purnadisha Joychandi Teacher Training College in Purulia, West Bengal, is dedicated to teacher education. Two main courses—Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)—are offered. Degree Wise Admission Process
B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education):
The course has a hundred (100) seats for its intake. The admission process for B.Ed. is based on merit in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination; the college adopts a separate procedure for admitting persons to B.Ed., which may include additional criteria laid down by the Institution itself or the West Bengal Government. The duration of the program is two years. The total fee structure for the course would be Rs. 1,40,000.
D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education):
The D.El.Ed. course also accommodates 100 seats. Admission to the course is strictly based on the reservation policies of the Government of West Bengal. The D.El.Ed. course is a two-year program, and the total fee is Rs. 96,000.
Both programs aim to train students to become successful teachers by equipping them with the required skills and knowledge. The focus of both programs is to prepare professionally well-trained graduates to meet the needs of the educational sector.
