Shyam School of Education Begusarai is a coeducational institution, recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education, or NCTE. The college offers a limited but nurturing environment for future teachers on what is a lively campus.
The Shyam School of Education offers admissions as per the given state government's orders and the orders of the affiliated university, to which admission will be granted. Entrance Examination:
As per the requirement either State Government or University policy.
Preparation of Merit List:
The merit list will be prepared by the college considering qualifying examination marks and/or entrance examination marks.
Counseling and Seat Allotment:
Counseling sessions may be called for short-listed candidates. Allocation of seats is based on merit and thereafter student preferences.

Degree-wise Admission Process
B.Ed (Bachelor of Education):
A two-year full-time program designed for the preparation of students intending to start their careers in teaching and education administration. There are 100 seats in total the college may fill in this program. All those who apply are selected based on merit based on marks, with the other components set as per state government and university policy.
D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
This program is aimed at training teachers for the elementary education sector with an intake of 100 candidates. The admission process is similar for B.Ed and allows merit-based selection according to scores obtained in qualifying and/or entrance examinations. There may be some more selection processes as per government directives.
