Lalit Narayan Mithila University was established in 1972. It is a state university situated in Darbhanga, Bihar. The university is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university has 43 constituent colleges and 24 affiliated colleges. The university offers 30 degrees and over 1000 courses.
These courses are offered at different levels such as diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. The UG courses include BA, BA (H), B.Com, B.Com (H), B.Sc, B.Sc (H), BBA, BDS, B.Voc, BCA, B.Ped, B.Tech, B.Ed, B.Pharma, LLB and B.Lib.I.Sc. The PG courses include MA, M.Sc, M.Com, MDS, MBA, M.Ed, M.Voc, PGD, M.Lib.I.Sc, and MCA. The PhDs are awarded in branches such as History, Sanskrit, Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, commerce, Economics, Education, English, and more.
The diploma is being offered in 2 branches- Pharmacy and Education. The university aims at providing a flexible, multidisciplinary, modern education in liberal, professional, and technical areas of study that enable an individual to study one or more specialized areas of interest at a deep level, and also develop creativity, ethical and constitutional values, intellectual curiosity, scientific temper, and 21st-century capabilities across a range of disciplines. AICTE Pragati Scholarship for girl students (for Freshers) Rs.50,000/Annum for all category having parental income Rs.8 lakh or less, which will be renewed in the subsequent year.
Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Bihar: The SC category students studying at the post-matriculation level (Class 11 to post graduation level) can apply for this scholarship. The annual income of the family should be less than ₹2,50,000
BC-EBC Post Matric Scholarship, Bihar: The BC-EBC category students studying at the post-matriculation level (Class 11 to post graduation level) can apply for this scholarship. The annual income of the family should be less than ₹1,50,000.
ST-Post Matric Scholarship, Bihar: The ST category students studying at the post-matriculation level (Class 11 to post graduation level) can apply for this scholarship.The annual income of the family should be less than ₹2,50,000.
Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana for 10+2, Bihar: The unmarried girl students belonging to the state of Bihar who have passed their Class 12 examination from the Bihar School Examination Board can apply.
Provision for students under PM Cares for Children Scheme-2021 for taking care of children, who have lost both parents and issued PM Cares Certificates during COVID pandemic. They will be eligible for a SWANATH scholarship.
Financial Assistance for Girl Toppers.
Any other welfare scheme as notified by the Government from time to time.

Yes my college have all the necessary facilities that is needed for students and the infrastructure is also good and the equipments are also well maintained and the classroom here is also big and they also provide big library and the sport centre and all are well maintained and updated and the living space is also big and clean

This college is widespread over 201 acres of land,there are 32 labs,24 affliated colleges and 43 constituent colleges.Spacious classrooms,library,sports complex,auditorium,medical facilities also available.campus is clean and green.
